Play in browser
v1.0.0
Overview
Play chess against the computer, right in your browser. Pick how strong the bot is, from 400 (just learning) up to 3000 (a world-class grandmaster), and play with or without a clock.
How to play
- Choose the bot's strength, your colour (White, Black or Random) and a clock: no clock, 1 to 30 minutes, or your own minutes and extra seconds per move.
- Drag a piece, or tap it and tap where it goes. The dots show where it can move.
- Without a clock you can undo your last move. Resign any time; the bot always offers a rematch.
Your game is saved on your device, so you can close the page and carry on later. Works on phones and computers.
Thanks
The bot is Stockfish, free software under the GNU GPL v3 (source). The chess rules come from chess.js (BSD licence). The pieces are drawn by Odd Thunder.
